Telephone crisis
intervention and information/referral services takes place through
CONTACT Care-Line, the Center's 24 hour crisis intervention program.
CONTACT Care-Line functions as part of the agency's crisis intervention
services and is the point of contact for all after hour emergency
services requests.
CONTACT Care-Line is manned by volunteers who are continually trained
and supervised. CONTACT Care-Line also provides information and referral
services as an affiliate of United Way.
Becoming a CONTACT Care-Line volunteer is easy and rewarding. Volunteers
say that helping others in need enhances their lives and gives them
insight to life's problems. No advance training is needed, and training
is provided by the Marion Area Counseling Center, free of charge. To
learn more about becoming a CONTACT Care-Line volunteer call Linda
Harris, 740-387-5210.
